Studio Carolijn Slottje is a creative company for interior design and the design of unique interior objects. The studio also specializes in photography of interior, art and design and advise on concept development.
The studio is an initiative from Carolijn Slottje. In projects the studio often works in collaboration with different creative companies and professionals.
Characteristic for the work produced by this studio, is the interest in natural structures, patterns and human behavior, and using this to find a different perspective on a design challenge.
A thought on patterns:
Patterns contain stories. The story of avoiding resistance like the pattern of a riverbed. Or the pattern that causes a leave to unfold.
But also patterns from everyday life contains stories. For instance a block of flats, the organization of equipment in a shed or the rhythm of a collection of things alike. Patterns in this way, to me, make an interesting breeding ground for new ideas.
